Plasma Vacuum System vs Inline Plasma Vacuum System

Plasma Vacuum System (Standard/Batch Type)

Description:

  • A closed chamber where parts are loaded in batches.
  • Air is evacuated to create a low-pressure (vacuum) environment.
  • Plasma is generated to treat the surface of all parts inside.

Advantages:

  • Excellent uniformity of treatment.
  • Suitable for complex 3D geometries.
  • Precise control over gas composition and treatment time.
  • Ideal for high-precision or low-to-medium volume applications.
  • Can use a wider range of process gases (due to sealed environment).

Limitations:

  • Batch processing slows down overall throughput.
  • Requires manual or robotic loading/ unloading.
  • Not easily integrated into continuous production lines.
  • Downtime between cycles.

Best For:

Inline Plasma Vacuum System (Automated Inline Type)

Description:

  • Combines vacuum plasma treatment with conveyor-based automation.
  • Parts move automatically through a series of vacuum chambers.
  • Designed for continuous or semi-continuous production lines.

Advantages:

  • Fully automated and integrated into production lines.
  • Higher throughput than batch systems.
  • Minimizes operator intervention and handling errors.
  • Still benefits from the high-quality treatment of vacuum plasma.

Limitations:

  • Higher investment cost than standalone systems.
  • Requires more complex integration with upstream/downstream processes.
  • It may be limited in treating very large or irregularly shaped parts.

Best For:

  • Mass production of electronics (e.g., displays, sensors, PCBs)
  • Automotive part assembly lines
